Breedekloof
The land of the corporate wineries and the region with the most inexpensive wine that we have visited to date. Most of the wineries receive their grapes from the neighbouring farms. Some of the wineries are supplied with grapes from up to 22 farms. You will not find any wood matured wine at the corporate wineries, but there is some privately owned wine farms like Du Preez, Avondrood and Deetlefs, where you will find some superb wines at extremely affordable prices. With pictures mountains as a back drop, this valley has a friendly and down to earth feel. Each and every winery offers a different experience. Some good, some bad, some great. An adventures route that will bring you close to nature and that offers some great and some awful wines, all at once.
