I got ready for my wedding here, so my memories might be a bit nostalgic, however….I am a “serious” wine drinker and have visit a few farms so I’ll compare. Wines: excellent! All the reds are wood matured for a minimum of 15 months. The palate is full and round with firm tannins that will pair excellent with any meal. They only have one white; a Sauvignon Blanc…and it is out of this world. It really climbs out of your glass and the aftertaste; well it just keeps on lingering in your mouth. They also have some neat accommodation available, with the best view in Robertson from the front “stoepie”. This is a plus, because not many Robertson estates offer accommodation. They are a bit of the “regular wine touring” road, but with La Montanara Cheese now also welcoming visitors it is worth the drive.
