For the month of June, Spit or Swallow will be running a competition for the best wine farm review. “Wine Flies” are encourage to go out there, visit a wine estate or two…or three and then tell us about the experience that they’ve had. (good or bad) All reviews submitted during June will be judge by a proffesional magazine and online editor, so GAME ON!
The winner will receive a complementary dinner for two at Cape Town’s hot hang-out spot Beleza, worth R300. But that’s not all, we’ll also throw in a bottle of wine that can be enjoyed with the meal. Good luck to everyone!

Winner Announced
For the month of June Spit or Swallow encouraged the “Wine Flies” to go out there, taste some wine and tell us what their experiences were like. The Professional Online Editor, Mr J Zehmke took the whole of yesterday to read through all the reviews that were submitted through out June and he finally picked the winner.
The winner for the best review submitted for the month of June goes to:
Helena Higgins for her review on Bon Cap.
“Imagine the sound of a champagne cork … at first you think, hmmm … this is really nice. Then the taste and the life in their Cap Classique infiltrate your senses and your grin automatically widens into a smile! When you wrap your tongue around the fruity, grassy, kiwi taste in their sauvignon blanc, you almost dissolve into a babbling fool! (PS … that is if you are lucky enough to get hold of it, it is so popular.) Everything in The Ruins range is anything but ruined … you can taste the fullness of the earth that cradled the grapes. The first sip of Pinotage you take makes you light that fire and gather the friends! I’m no wine connosieur, but I am keeping that one bottle of Cape Blend … just for myself! Maybe I’ll share it with Roelf and Michelle, they did make it after all … but that is just maybe … Anyone serious about wine should get their own special bottle of Bon Cap to treasure, and what better place to do so than on the farm, from the special guys who make it …?!”
Congratulations Helena and thanks to all the other “Wine Flies” for their reviews as well!
