He is the father of the Winemaker at Spruitdrift, Koos Thiart. One can see where his passion lies, right here at Bellpost. The wines tasted ten times better than at Spruitdrift. My personal favourites were the Chardonnay 2008 at R38 a bottle and the Merlot 2006. Oom Nollies kept us entertained with stories about the farm, the neighbours and rugby. His other son, Danie Thiart plays for the Blue Bulls. We had great fun and were relieved to find so good wine. Definitely the best find on our wine trip.
