Went there on a Saturday, the wines we tasted were opened the previous Monday so it was oxidized to the max!! Can you believe it ..the humanity! They did however give us a magnum Brut to say sorry, so all is forgiven and yes…the MCC is probably the best in SA

Very modern all most sterile tasting environment, yet relaxed with professional staff. Nice view over the vineyards.

We really enjoyed our visit to Graham Beck in Robertson. Staff were incredibly friendly and the Bowed Head Chenin Blanc made a huge impression on me. I am still thinking about it 5 days later.

The best Chenin of Wacky Wine 2010. The Bowed Head Chenin Blanc is simply delish and restored my faith in Chenins! The staff were really friendly and the newly renovated tasting room looks really cool and the view is gorgeous!

We timed our most recent visit really well – half an hour before closing on Wacky Wine Weekend Saturday. Staff were tired but charming and helpful. Wines on offer were as good as can be expected from this premium property although I would have liked to have been able to taste more of their bubblies. The special offer for the Game Reserve Chenin must be the bargain of the weekend!

I take friends there for the beautiful cellar and great wines – expecially the MCC’s. Value for money as well and the staff in Robertson are very friendly.

We popped into Graham Beck while we were doing a road trip through to Robertson from Stellenbosch. The whites were enjoyable but really enjoyed their pinotage very much!

Die MCC-reeks bly my gunsteling. Borrels by die dosyne met die Blanc de Blancs die podiumwenner. Baie elegant.

I was there not so long ago with my girlfriend, two sisters and my oldest sister’s boyfriend. We arrived about 30mins before closing, heading back to Stellenbosch from Oudtshoorn. Graham Beck’s security guard in front was very friendly, giving us directions to the tasting room (not that it was difficult to spot). We arrived to a very modern setting and tasting room, but were greated with the enthusiasm of a 5 year old going to the dentist. The tasting ladies took their time finnishing what they were busy with and eventualy offered to help us. They made it clear that we could only taste 5 wines and that they were closing soon. On to the wines… I can see why Obama chose to celebrate with GB’s Brut, it was very nice. I also enjoy their cab sav very much, and again, it didn’t dissapoint.
I really hope that this was just a looong day for the tasting ladies and that they’re ussually friendlier. Even more than that, I hope that the fact that the 5 of us were aged between 18 and 26 didn’t change the way we were helped.
Good luck!

Was there back in December, and very disappointed. The staff were aloof and unfriendly, and we couldn’t wait to get out of there because the wine didn’t make up for it. Hope Franschhoek’s one will be better, because I used to love their wines.

The House of MCC – Very manucured – pretty pricy but for the product to be expected.

Absolutely loved it! We even got to taste the Obama Bubbly :-) Great setting, spontaneous people, good wine & discount prices.

Nadia & Julian were the best!

Apart from the bubbly, my favourites: the 2004 Shiraz and The William.

“(Obama) liked it so much that when they had the election, they called me and asked if they could order six more for their Election Night party.” -Chicago restaurant co-owner Eduard Seitan, on US President Barack Obama’s preference for South Africa’s Graham Beck Brut NV wine.

Had been to their tasting room in franchhoek, but this was far superior. Very attentive staff and tasted their whole range. Their MCC is great and I love The Joshua – Shiraz/Viognier mix
