The unofficial home of SA chardonnay…and how do they get it right to make a very decent Pinot Noir? Love the Koopmans De Wet replica house

Forget the austere KWV like buildings…go for the Chardonnay and Pinot Noir. Should be on anybody’s bucket list.

Love to visit the Chardonnay king of Robertson’s estate. The Bateleur is one of my favourite Chards and Nature in Concert Pinot Noir is really really good too.

I have never tasted any of their wines but what I have tasted is a wine that Danie De Wet has made exclusively for TOPS bottle stores called Olive Brook – Chardonnay/Pinot Noir. It was absolutely fantastic. Opened it up at with yellow tail on the table! Everyone enjoyed it and I marvelled at the balance between the two cultivars! At least a 9/10 for me! Go try it!!
