I love the modern look and the option of visiting the art gallery. It is a little expensive, but worth it too. The “Taste of Provence” is an excellent option for a limited budget and limited time. You get the best food with the best wine.
Enjoy this ultra chic experience! highly recommended

I enjoyed the experience at Grande Provence. It has a nice relaxed atmosphere with some excellent wines. I enjoyed all the wines we tasted. I agree with the other reviewers that the wines are slightly expensive and therefore there was better value for money at Plaisir de Merle which we had just come from which in my opinion had wines of similar quality.

Wat ‘n lieflike plaas! Buite staan ‘n klompie perde sonder ruiters in ‘n sirkel, binne drink ruiters wyn van die engele… Wyne vir alle smake in ‘n praglokaal.

My first visit to Grande Provence was about 3 years ago. We celebrated our (can’t remember which year) anniversary there over a great, but expensive lunch. On my return I found out that the food is a bit more affordable, but the wine prices have increased a lot. According to our host, the win has won a lot of international awards, hence the sharp increase in prices. He also said that most of their customers are overseas visitors, so that is the market that they cater for. The wines that we tasted was good, but did not really have enough character for my personal taste. The prices ranged from R90 for a white and R140 for a red.

I like the interior, very loft and stylishly industrial. Beautiful gardens and some great artwork makes up for the steep prices I guess.

The tasting

Average wine with big prices. Beautiful setting, worth to have a look at the art etc. However I would suggest to sell that spare kidney before you order some food.

their normal wines are overpriced and not quite worth the price but the angel tears is bogwash even for students
