Did the complimentary tasting as a quick stop on my way home and it proved to be a treat. It was super quiet and I got royal treatment.
The don’t-tell-Pieter-but-as-it’s-so-quiet-I’ll-spoil-you-with-a-little-MMC Blanc de Blanc was great – fruity and light. The GB Sav Blanc, GB Chenin Blanc and GB Chardonnay are decent whites with the Chenin Blanc hitting the spot perfectly on the sunny winter’s day.
Enjoyed the GB Pinotage, Coffeestone Cabernet and resolved to buy the Joshua (R195) when my ship comes in!
To finish the Rhona Muscadel was delicious – no too sweet and the recently released Cape LBV Port (at R55) will see me back there when that ship is but an approaching speck on the horizon.
Thanks for the great welcome, the informed story with each wine and a great distraction.

Wow – what a place! Being huge bubbly fans, we did the MCC tasting and let me tell you – I was 3 sheets to the wind when we walked out of there. Highly recommended.

The tasting room (and farm in general) is as impressive as the staff is friendly. The bubbly tasting is a must. All the wines are worth investigating and there is an overwhelming selection. Pity the designated driver – or better yet, buy him a bottle for when he gets you home!

Ons besoek die kelder tydens die Franschhoek Uncorked-fees. Ons word buite verwelkom deur kunswerke in die tuin en binne skink Pieter Ferreira self in die proelokaal. Hy beantwoord beleefd en beskaafd my menigte vrae. Die wyne is spesiaal, veral die Ultra Premium-reeks met name wat soos ‘n geslagregister lees: Joshua, Andrew en William. Die MCC-reeks bly my gunsteling. Borrels by die dosyne met die Blanc de Blancs die podiumwenner. Baie elegant.

This is just the best wine farm in Franschhoek. Never had a bad experience. The people are super friendly and never shy away to make a joke. You will never go wrong by take your friends here. The place a bit of heaven between the mountains.

From the outside the Graham Beck building looked a bit like a NG Church, but on the inside it was modern, glamorous and hip.

Our host, Louise was friendly and showed us to the only available table in the tasting room. It had a great view over the aluminium tanks and it created a “nothing to hide” feeling.

The wines on tasting were all good and not overpriced. If I had to pick between Graham Beck Robertson and Graham Beck Franschhoek? Tough one!

Outside: Robertson.

Inside: Franschhoek.

Wine: Both!

This is a farm that we consistently go back to. The Franschhoek tasting room is stunning in decor and with it comes great informative service from the staff, some that have been there for years. We are always taking friends that visit us in Stellenbosch to this tasting room, as we enjoy the ambiance, service and a great selection of bubblies and wine!
