Nice views and setting. Very cold host who knew nothing about the wines. Wines were nice but nothing stood out

This was my 3rd visit to Hidden Valley and I’m still not bored. Sune, our host was friendly and chatty, which contributed to a great experience once again. We enjoyed some great wines during our tasting. The Pinotage was one of my favourites.

Thanks to the security guard in the parking lot for pointing us in the right direction in order to complete our task. If it was not for him,we would have been lost and wet-wet-wet.

Seriously insane views from the patio and tasting center, very friendly and knowledgeable staff taking us through the tasting, with the Hidden valley Bordeaux blend being amazing and the hidden valley Pinotage just as good…
the Lands End Sauvignon Blanc was really good too.
will plan a visit back here again sometimes to try out the restaurant as the food their looked great!

I have visited this estate before and must say something is lacking these days, what happened?

The tasting room at Hidden Valley is amazing, as is the view. Very modern and chic. Wines were also excellent – their other label “Lands End” from the Elim vineyards near Agulhas is quite distinct from the Stellenbosch wines due to the maritime climate – you can almost taste the sea in the Sauvignon Blanc – really lovely. The rose was also great. On the red side – I really enjoyed the Hidden Valley Pinotage.

I can’t comment on the tasting room or the view (haven’t been lucky enought to visit yet) but the Hidden Valley pinotage is sublime!

Wow! What a view! I’m pretty sure I spotted my house from the outside patio.

I loved the modern and stylish look of the tasting room. I also loved the wine specials. We paid R20 for a bottle of easy drinking white wine, called “Hidden Agenda.” I did not know that R20 bottles existed in this region.

We had 2 people attending to us. Our first host was not really informative, but he was friendly and good looking. Our second host was informative and friendly.

The cheese platters looked amazing, but I thought it was a bit pricey at R200 for 2 people.

Nonetheless, we had a great experience and a visit to Hidden Valley should be on your “to do list” if you haven’t been there.

Most definitely the best view and a stunning Shiraz. The restaurant is a tasting experience and worth a visit!
